We've got big news!

Like, the "oh my gosh we just threw a perfect game of skee-ball and we're going to cash in all our tickets for that giant teddy bear" kind of big news.

Event managers can now sell everything (no seriously, everything) right in one convenient platform with our new Attendee Ticket Sales add-on for Map D.

Pavilions are a recent addition to Map D's platform and can be used to spotlight event content.

It's been a long time coming, but we're pleased to announce that map-dynamics.com is now officially mapdevents.com!

This is the latest development in our rebrand from Map Dynamics to Map D which began near the end of 2021. It may not seem significant, but these changes are part of a broader effort at Nextech AR Solutions to simplify and streamline our offerings and improve the user experience of our clients and customers.

Virtual and hybrid event sessions just got a major lift on Map D as live streaming video made its way to our event management software this month.

New Feature: Design Customizations

Today we're writing about a new feature added to your event's show set up and settings panel - design customizations! Design customizations will let Map D clients take control of their event's look and feel like never before. 

You may have seen one of these images on the back of your favorite shampoo bottle or vending machine beverage, but these new-age barcodes are much more than what meets the eye.

These images—QR or "Quick Response" codes—are 2D matrix barcodes that, when scanned, link consumers to business web pages, emails, contact information, and more. This is a great new way to provide yet another form of interaction with attendees or exhibitors at your next trade show.

How it Works

QR Codes work in virtually the same way as linear barcodes except that they have the ability to store much more information. First, a phone must be able to scan QR codes; there are many options including specialized apps and some phones can scan with the camera app.

Then simply by scanning the barcode with your smartphone camera while using the app, the coded URL, bookmark, or phone call is automatically launched.

Where to Get a QR Code

In order for your business to successfully use QR Codes at your next trade show, you need to use a QR Code generator. This is an easy, free online system and, again, there are many options that will fit your business needs. More and more QR generators are being created every day, but listed below is an option that I think is the easiest to get started with:
