Jeremy showcases video hosted on Map D in his woodworking demo event.
Virtual and hybrid event sessions just got a major lift on Map D as live streaming video made its way to our event management software this month.
"Live streaming through Map D has been something clients have wanted for hybrid and virtual events since the beginning of the pandemic," said Lane Gibbs, Director of Sales and Operations at Map D. "We’ve been offering something close to this for a while, but this new development lets attendees view their sessions as if they were turning on a TV Channel. It's really cool."
Whether live streaming a keynote speaker from the main ballroom at a convention center, streaming a demo on a tradeshow floor, or live streaming a webinar in a fully virtual event, the applications of this new development are many.
Jeremy really enjoyed testing the stream out in his woodworking event this month.
“Our software runs on a custom-configured environment that allows for on-demand scaling of resources.” said Jeremy Minnick, Lead Developer for Map D. “The new streaming is incredibly stable and, even for those without broadcast or online event experience, it’s amazingly easy to use.”
Live streaming is the next evolution of service on Map D’s "speaker and schedule" feature of the event management software platform. We bundle our features into tiers to make it easier and more affordable to tailor our product and service to fit the type of event you're looking to put on. Speaker and schedule features are part of our "content expansion" tier designed to add on to any kind of event that has an agenda or schedule. Map D clients can even use content expansion as a stand-alone tier for virtual events and live streaming will take that to a whole new level.
